Reimagining Central Lonsdale
Central Lonsdale plays a vital role for those living, working and visiting the area. Our goal is to help Central Lonsdale become our city’s next 'great street' – a street with a diverse and vibrant mix of attractions, events, and businesses, where everyone can live, work, visit and play.
In January 2025, the City of North Vancouver conducted engagement to understand the community's priorities for Lonsdale. You can explore the detailed findings in the What We Heard Report. The results from the community engagement will inform the development of a plan for the area, which outlines key moves to guide actions over the coming years.
In April 2026, the draft report was published for public access prior to its review and potential endorsement by Council.
The Lonsdale Great Street Project study area is bounded by Chesterfield Ave to the west, the Trans-Canada Highway to the north, St. Georges Ave to the east, and Victoria Park/Keith Road to the south.
