Open Streets in the City

Our Open Streets Action Plan is creating more space for everyone to physically distance, and improving access to local businesses by re-allocating some of our existing road space.

That means wider sidewalks, expanded outdoor patios, more parklets and designated drop-off zones.

Some of the temporary changes include:

  • Reducing vehicle travel lanes to one lane in each direction.
  • Shifting parking to the closed curbside travel lane to enable deliveries and customer access to businesses.
  • Reallocating the current curbside parking lane into space to be used by residents and businesses. Businesses are encouraged to use this space to expand patios, waiting areas and outdoor retail displays.

Keep up to date as more changes are rolled out in the coming weeks at cnv.org/OpenStreets
