Poor location for Dog Park

A new Off Leash Dog Park last year opened on 8th & Lonsdale. I live in an apartment adjacent to this park - the barking of dogs has become a topic of conversation amongst my neighbors. A few months ago someone organized a petition to see if this could be addressed - the City did put up signs asking owners to be aware of the close proximity to the apartments and to curb the barking, as yet this has not been successful. The park is open from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm, too early in the morning, in particular. This park was originally deemed to be an Urban Park with trees and benches for people to sit and enjoy but somewhere along the way someone decided otherwise - obviously they don't live in this area!! A very poor decision by City Hall!!
