Andrews on St Andrews

It's great that Andrews on 8th is such a community draw and has made Sam Walker Park busy too. But this has lead to many pedestrians (including me) wandering through and hanging around the intersection of 8th and St. Andrews, with poor north-south sightlines for drivers, walkers and cyclists.

It would be helpful to put marked crosswalks around all four sides of the roundabout (especially crossing 8th from Andrews to the park) -- maybe even doing some street-art-type crosswalk design around the roundabout to make cars slow down and recognize this is a busy pedestrian area. It would also help to add sidewalk along the south side of Sam Walker Park, to get people off the street and connect the north-side sidewalk on 8th St. from St. Andrews to St. Georges (connecting with the new sidewalk being added for that new development on 8th at 9th). This would improve pedestrian safety in the whole area.
