Speed Bumps, Please

I don't understand why we are not just going straight to the most obvious and effective solution, speed bumps. There are many streets above15th, both east/west and north/south, that have them. I can only assume that it is because they have been determined to be effective at managing vehicle speed.

I understand that "visually" narrowing St. Andrews, by putting the parking lanes outside of bike lanes, may be a solution under consideration. If narrowing a street (visually or otherwise) works to control speed then it begs the question, why do some of the narrowest streets in the neighborhood (ie Ridgeway above 15th?) also have permanent speed bumps. This includes a recent installation on Ridgeway just below 17th. (Oddly, that short block now has has TWO speed bumps with the newest one having just been installed. The next block south has none - I would love to understand the rationale for that decision).

Your letter states that public consultation for traffic calming "will start in March 2021". It is now the end of March and, other than the letter, we have heard nothing. What is the public consultation process?
