Update October 12, 2022: this engagement has now closed. We look forward to sharing the results with the community in early 2023.

Building on the Vibrant Social Heart of The Shipyards

We are creating a strategy to serve as our pathway to ensuring The Shipyards continues to evolve as the vibrant and active space our community is so proud of.

The Shipyards is the jewel of the City’s waterfront and social hub of the North Vancouver community, and we want to continue to build upon its rich history and unbeatable location, and celebrate its unique character.

Your feedback will help shape the vision of the draft Shipyards Strategy and provide City staff with valuable information on desired programming, cultural activations, community and tourism initiatives, The Shipyards brand awareness, enjoyment of public spaces and sustainability initiatives.

How You Can Get Involved

We’re looking for your input on what’s most important to you, what you love about The Shipyards, and what you wish would be included in the space.

  • Answer the survey – whether you're a resident or a visitor, we want to hear from you!
  • Sign up for updates - click the button above under Stay Informed to subscribe for updates on this project to your email inbox.

Thanks to those who joined City staff at The Shipyards for a Coffee Chat earlier this year to share your feedback to help shape the future of The Shipyards.

How Your Input Will Be Used

Input you share in this engagement will help staff identify programming, tourism and space activation needs and will help shape the draft Shipyards Strategy. The Strategy will guide how we plan and design The Shipyards in the future to meet the diverse needs of our community.
