Help name a new neighbourhood park
The City of North Vancouver is building a new neighbourhood park at 1600 Eastern Avenue in Central Lonsdale. The new park will create a welcoming community green space that supports the needs of the surrounding neighbourhood and provides new, creative ways to gather, play, and connect outdoors. The park will include features such as an open central lawn for flexible use, a circular canopy with seating, shade trees and dense planting, small playful features, and a fenced dog off-leash area. The design of the park was influenced by two rounds of community engagement that took place in 2020.
Now, as the park nears completion, the City is seeking community input on themes, stories, and values that should inform the name of the new neighbourhood park at 1600 Eastern Avenue. City staff will then use that input to put forth name recommendations to the City's Civic Naming Committee. The Naming Committee will then select a name for ratification by City Council.
