Phase 2 Survey

Help shape the City’s Curb Access and Parking Plan

The City of North Vancouver is developing a Curb Access & Parking Plan to improve the reliability of accessing our curb space while addressing the changing demand for all kinds of uses ranging from accessible vehicle parking and loading zones to car and bicycle share, among others. When we say “curb access” we mean all the ways you use the curb from parking your car or bike to loading your vehicle.

To learn more about these changes and why they are being proposed, you can read the Curb Access & Parking Plan Summary.

Depending on how much input you choose to provide, this survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

How Your Input Will Be Used

Public input will be considered alongside technical data and parking management best practices to help shape the final Curb Access & Parking Plan. This is the second of two phases of engagement, and is at the “consult” level of engagement on the IAP2 Spectrum of Engagement (Learn more about the IAP2 Spectrum of Engagement).

Proposed Change #1: Expand Pay Parking in High-demand Areas of the City to better manage parking turnover and demand.

Why? Right now, parking in our busy areas is frequently full, resulting in significant circling for parking, impacting businesses, people’s time, and the environment.

What will this look like? We will regulate high-demand areas through pay-parking, ensuring that there’s always 1-2 spaces available per block at any given time.
