Creating community is our main goal. Making space for people to gather that have common interests like tennis, basketball, kids is valuable. What if our common interest is a 4-legged best friend or rather only friend for a single person?... isn't it important to create an engaing community for all? Yes, there are dog owners that shouldn't have a dog, but don't let the 1% of irresponsible humans ruin it for the rest of us. Having fenced in off-leash dog parks is a great way where everyone gets to enjoy the park safely. An ideal location for a safety driven, community engaging, off-leash dog area would be along Grand Blvd. None of the walking or cycling paths would be impeded or compromised, a very similar setup to Lynnmouth off-leash Park behind mec. There could be specific open hours, similar to the tennis and basketball courts to keep the peace with the neighbours. I would love to not packup and drive our 4-legged family member to experience community in another city... thank you for your consideration and reaching out.
