Thank you for your feedback so far on the Off-Leash Area at Waterfront Park.

In late 2019, we opened a temporary off-leash area to the public and launched a survey to gather feedback. The main concerns we heard were about the size of the area, the slope toward the CN Rail and the slippery conditions on the site.

Based on your feedback we made some improvements in late 2020:

• Expanded site which includes a flatter area
• Regraded slope and installed drainage
• Installed a pathway to help people move down the slope
• Added new surfacing, including engineered wood chips on the flat terrain and Douglas Fir bark mulch on the slope
